Hervé Magaribi is the Deputy chairperson of Board of Directors of UDHAD where he oversees partnerships and implementation of the programs of the organization. M. Hervé brings to UDHAD more than five years of experience in not-for-profit organizations in the sector of development, partnerships and collaborations in Africa and overseas. Hervé is a strategic advisor for the planning and management of UDHAD projects.
Motivated and enthusiastic for community development and service, Hervé Magaribi is the co founder of UDHAD and he is dedicated to help local communities in Congo achieve their development goals by exploring their own potential and through hard work, commitment and love & dignity for everyone.
Douglas is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of UDHAD. He is the President of the organization with responsibilities to engage and represent the organization to third parties. His duties to oversee the implementation of projects on ground, to make sure operations and decisions are in accordance with UDDHAD policies and rules are very keen and proven. M. Douglas brings a great experience in supervision and evaluation of development projects. Silently acting, meticulous observer and listener, M. Douglas is a great asset to the leadership and management of UDHAD.
Mr. Katenga is the Secretary of the board of directors and Advisor member. He is among the founders who came up with the idea of creating this organization based on various challenges that emergeing Congo, his home country, especially in the areas of Uvira, Fizi and Mwenga. Those challenges include- not limited to- environmental degradation and landslides, unemployment of youth, violation of women rights, and mostly the need of an inclusive economic growth. The situation of vulnerable people like widows and orphans is very calling. So he is engaged in this this organization to give back to his community the best of himself: love and service.
Visionary and passionate about development of his motherland “Congo”, Patrick brings to UDHAD more than 10 years of experience in community development, local leadership and environmental recovery. During his time in Tanzania, M. Patrick intensively contributed to the launch of many initiatives aiming at building and increasing resilience of refugee communities and families. In his capacity as Coordinator, Patrick manages on daily basis the organization’s operations on ground, financial operations and regularly reports to the management committee on all issues related to human resources, planning and implementation of activities on field, finances and any questions that matter to organization’s daily operations. Motivator and dedicated person, Patrick is a true backbone on the growth and efficiency of UDHAD.
Mahangaiko is the co-founder of UDHAD and is currently acting as the Deputy-Coordinator of the organization in charge of administration and strategic planning of projets. Beyond his wisdom, quietness and his public speaking skills, Mangaiko brings a rich experience from humanitarian field after having spent many years working on administrative and logistic matters in Tanzania with Care International and UNHCR. He tremendously values the importance of the protection of the environment and biodiversity for increasing local communities’ resilience and adaptation to climate change, but also the relevance of building ecological housing in order to help local communities to live decently despite their low-income status. He is brotherly and friendly called “Mzee- Elder” by his colleagues to pay respect to his wisdom and leadership.
Ms. Zahabu is the treasurer of UDHAD and the administrative assistant of the coordinator. She is responsible for all administrative and clerical duties of the organization in the United States and the Congo. Before joining UDHAD, Evelyne worked in a shipping company where she gained great experience in handling shipment requests and solving problems that can hinder operations.
With her financial skills, she manages the organization’s money by ensuring that all financial operations are properly processed, controlled, approved, and transparently used.
Ms. Abiya Maisha plays a key role within our organization by engaging us with the community and connecting the community to the range of our services and facilitation we might offer. With more than three years with UPS, a worldwide logistic company, Abiya brings to UDHAD collaborative work skills, creative listening; and mostly her sense of quietness, wisdom, and attention to people.
By engaging UDHAD with the community, she is connecting community voices to decision-makers, and making sure the community understands our policy, strategy, culture, and values of our work.
