1. Tree planting and community awareness activities on the radio space were carried out jointly between the members of the Friends of the Environment club of the Higher Institute. of Rural Development of Uvira and those of the Union for Development and Decent Housing.
2. Indeed 400 trees were planted with different species including 250 of Terminali Acatappa species commonly known under the local name “Limba” and 150 of Newtoniabuchamanii species, known under the local name “Mubamba” or “Mugomba” which had been planted. on an area of 2 hectares in the ISDR-Uvira site in Rugenge.
3. We suggest that the program of activities be planned well in advance and followed jointly, step by step to avoid any inconvenience of the program and that at the next activity, the UDHAD Management can consider the cost of motivation and transport for the staff. and volunteer members at the end of each similar activity.
4. Staking and digging can be done at the next opportunity a few days before planting to minimize fatigue.
5. We can also retain the commitment and determination of these two organizations in the process of protecting and restoring green spaces in the city and territory of Uvira through reforestation for the well-being of the community.
